Contracts and Service Agreements
All too often the excitement of securing a new role means that employees are less concerned about the detail in their employment contract and it is only at the end of employment that the finer details are reviewed, when it is too late to negotiate.
We encourage employees at all levels to carefully review the terms of their contracts or service agreements to ensure that they are not agreeing e.g to unnecessary post termination restrictions on their ability to compete, or to clauses which can affect their ability to be paid bonus or commission once a resignation has been handed in.
