Owen advises on all aspects of employment law; from day-to-day HR issues including disciplinary and grievance matters, data protection  and employment status issues, to major commercial transactions involving transfers, restructures and redundancies. He particularly enjoys closely with clients, which include a wide range of SMEs, national corporate and charitable organisations, so that he can gain a detailed understanding of their business and help them to overcome complex and sensitive challenges so that they can get on with what they do best.

Likewise, Owen acts for individual clients who face problems at work, ranging from potential dismissal to those who have been dismissed in trying to find a resolution with their employer.

Owen also represents both employers and employees before the Employment Tribunal, and in negotiations; applying his skills in dispute resolution.

Outside the office Owen is keen sports fan but finds that, increasingly, he is limited to the role of spectator and driver to his family rather than participating himself.

Owen was promoted to partner on 1 February 2021.
