July 2026 inflation data

The UK’s inflation rate in July 2026 - as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) - was 2.9%.

The detailed figures for the year to July 2026 are:

  • CPI inflation was 2.9% in July 2026 (Index: 142.9), up from 2.6% in the year to June
  • RPI* inflation was 3.2% in July 2026 (Index: 419.1), up from 3.0% in the year to June
  • CPIH inflation was 3.1% in July 2026 (Index: 142.7), up from 2.8% in the year to June
