Two research bodies have published pay data for the three months to the end of August 2026.

• Brightmine shows the median award at 3.0% for the three months to August. The most common basic pay award was also 3%, accounting for almost a third of settlements. It predicts that sluggish pay growth will continue into 2027.
• Incomes Data Research shows the median pay award across the whole economy was 3.3% in the three months to August 2026 (interquartile range: 3.0% to 3.8%).
