December 2025 inflation data
The UK’s inflation rate in December 2025, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 3.4%.
The detailed figures for the year to December 2025 are:
- CPI inflation was 3.4% in December 2025 (Index: 140.1), up from 3.2% in the year to November
- RPI* inflation was 4.2% in December 2025 (Index: 408.5), up from 3.8% in the year to November
- CPIH inflation was 3.6% in December 2025 (Index: 139.9) up from 3.5% in the year to November
*The Office for National Statistics no longer regards the RPI as an official measure of inflation.
