July 2025 inflation data

The UK’s inflation rate in July 2025, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 3.8%.

The detailed figures for the year to July 2025 are:

  • CPI inflation was 3.8% in July 2025 (Index: 139.0), up from 3.6% in the year to June
  • RPI* inflation was 4.8% in July 2025 (Index: 406.2), up from 4.4% in the year to June
  • CPIH inflation was 4.2% in July 2025 (Index:138.5), up from 4.1% in the year to June

*The Office for National Statistics no longer regards the RPI as an official measure of inflation.
