April 2025 inflation data

The UK’s inflation rate in April 2025, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 3.5%.

The detailed figures for the year to April 2025 are:

  • CPI inflation was 3.5% in April 2025 (Index: 138.2), up from 2.6% in the year to March
  • RPI* inflation was 4.5% in April 2025 (Index: 402.2), up from 3.2% in the year to March
  • CPIH inflation was 4.1% in April 2025 (Index: 137.7), up from 3.4% in the year to March

*The Office for National Statistics no longer regards the RPI as an official measure of inflation.
