The UK’s inflation rate in October 2022, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 11.1%.

The detailed inflation measures for the year to October 2022 are as follows:

• CPI inflation was 11.1% in October 2022 (Index: 126.2), up from 10.1% in the year to September
• RPI* inflation was 14.2% in October 2022 (Index: 356.2), up from 12.6% in the year to September
• CPIH inflation was 9.6% in October 2022 (Index: 124.3), up from 8.8% in the year to September

*The Office for National Statistics no longer regards RPI as an official measure of inflation.
