April 2022 inflation data
The UK’s inflation rate in April 2022, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 9.0%.
The detailed inflation measures for the year to April 2022 are as follows:
- CPI inflation was 9.0% in April 2022 (Index: 120.0), up from 7.0% in the year to March
- RPI inflation was 11.1% in April 2022 (Index: 334.6), up from 9.0% in the year to March
- CPIH inflation was 7.8% in April 2022 (Index: 119.0), up from 6.2% in the year to March
Note that the Office for National Statistics no longer regards RPI as an official measure of inflation.
