Pay data: three months to March 2024
Three research bodies have published pay data for the three months to the end of March 2024.
- Incomes Data Research shows the median pay award at 5.0% for the three months to March (interquartile range: 4.0% to 5.8%).
- Brightmine (formerly XpertHR) recorded a median basic pay award of 4.8% across the whole economy for the three months to the end of March 2024. Based on 142 pay settlements that came into effect between 1 January and 31 March 2024, covering 398,976 employees, the most common pay rise was 4%. Around a fifth of all awards were at this rate. Around two-thirds (63.1%) were worth between 3% and 5%.
- According to the Labour Research Department, the median pay rise in the three months to March was 5.3% for workers on all grades.
