Pay data: for three months to October 2018
Various research organisations have published pay data for the three months to October 2018.
- The Engineering Employers Federation (EEF) show a 2.6% increase in manufacturing wages in the three months to October, slightly up on the previous month’s 2.5%, but overall the figure has been stable in the last six months.
- XpertHR shows the median basic pay award across the whole economy at 2.3%, with the middle half of pay awards (the interquartile range) worth between 1% and 3%. The median pay award in the services sector, which includes deals from both the public and private sectors, stands at 2.3%. Among a small sample of pay awards in the manufacturing and production sector the median deal is 2.2%.
- The Labour Research Department (LRD) Payline shows the median standard increase for the three months from August to October at 2.8%.
