Real Living Wage increases

The Real Living Wage (RLW) has increased by the biggest percentage in its 10-year history.

Usually announced in November in year, the 2022-23 rate increase has been brought forward to 22 September in response to the rise in living costs facing workers. The new rates are £10.90 an hour across the UK and £11.95 an hour in London.

The RLW, unlike the statutory National Minimum Wage (which includes the National Living Wage) is a voluntary wage set by the Living Wage Foundation which applies to staff working for accredited Living Wage employers aged 18 or over.
