Pay data: three months to June 2025

Various research bodies have published pay data for the three months to the end of June 2025.

  • Incomes Data Research shows the median pay award across the whole economy at 3.4% for the three months to June (interquartile range: 2.8% to 4.7%).
  • Brightmine recorded a median basic pay award of 3.0% for the three months to the end of June.
  • LRD Payline shows pay deals averaging 4.0% for the lowest paid in the three months to June 2025. The private sector saw deals average 4.1%, while the public sector averaged 3.4%.
  • The CIPD’s Summer Labour Market Outlook found that, amongst employers looking to increase, decrease or freeze pay in the next 12 months, the median expected basic pay increase (in the private and public sectors) for the next 12 months remains at 3% overall. It has fallen in the voluntary sector from 3% to 2.5% this quarter.
