New reasonable adjustments 'disability passport'
A new ‘disability passport’ has been launched to help disabled people who fall out of work or switch employers each year to receive the reasonable adjustments they need to do their job.
The GMB and the TUC have created a model reasonable adjustments employer agreement and a template reasonable adjustments passport to set down a disabled employee’s adjustments, which is signed by everyone, so that if a disabled worker starts a new job, their line manager changes or their particular role changes within an organisation, workers will not need to explain their requirements every time those changes happen.
The full report, along with a model workplace policy and a model passport can be accessed via the GMB website.
