Parental bereavement leave and pay consultation
A consultation has been published asking for views on the scope of the new right to bereavement leave and pay.
This new right, as yet not in force, will give employees who suffer the death of a child the right to two weeks paid leave.
The consultation, which closes on 8 June 2018, addresses the following issues: the definition of a bereaved parent, how and when leave and pay can be taken and the notice and evidence requirements.
